Privacy Policy

Travel Old Hollywood ("we", "us") is a travel publication at traveloldhollywood.com, operated as a sole trader in the United Kingdom and the data controller responsible for this site. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit, how it is used, and the rights you have. We aim to collect as little as possible. The short version

We don't ask you to create an account, we don't run a newsletter or collect your details through forms, and we don't sell your data to anyone. We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to see how the site performs, and some of our outbound links are affiliate links that set their own cookies if you click them.

Information we collect

• Aggregate analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used and how quickly pages load. These are designed to be privacy-friendly: they do not use cookies to track visitors and do not build an advertising profile of you.
• Affiliate-link data. When you click an affiliate link, the partner you're sent to (for example a hotel-booking platform or retailer) may set cookies or use similar technology to credit us if you go on to book or buy. That data is collected and controlled by them, under their own privacy policies — see "Third parties" below. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains the commercial side.
• Standard server logs. Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the service running.

Cookies

We do not set our own marketing or tracking cookies. Our analytics are cookieless. The main cookies you may encounter come from third-party affiliate partners, and only if you click one of their links. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time without affecting your ability to read the site.

Third parties

We rely on a small number of trusted providers:

• Vercel — website hosting and the aggregate analytics described above.
• Affiliate partners and networks — such as Booking.com, Travelpayouts, GetYourGuide, Viator, DiscoverCars, Airalo, Amazon Associates and Awin — which may receive click and transaction data when you follow one of their links. Each operates under its own privacy policy.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States, so your data may be transferred and processed internationally under appropriate safeguards.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to access, correct, or ask us to delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. As we don't operate accounts or collect contact details directly, we typically hold no personal data that identifies you. To make a request, email adam@vintagetravel.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves or our partners change. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
